The DP-1 Drillpress
AMT was started due to the frustration with the “standard” drillpress.
We have designed a drillpress that has the following features:
– Limited quill travel eliminated, fixed position table – drill unit moves vertically
– A direct drive, movable drill unit with a 30-3000 RPM reversible motor
– Quick drill changes with quality keyless chuck (standard chuck also included)
– “Turn a Knob” RPM change with digital display readout
– Wheel (instead of spokes) control of vertical travel
– Tapping capable with ultra-slow 30 RPM and foot switch reverse
– Overbuilt design with Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) parts, ease of repair
– Drilled and tapped table for easy vise (included) or fixture mounting
– Runs on 208-240V single phase, 15 Amps (120V adapter can be provided)

– Heavy-duty chain suspension with dual redundant chains
